Ian Walsh - Winner of the 2018/19 GSDC Medal

A wonderful evening was had at the GRDC Natural Resource Management Award Dinner, made all the better by our own Ian Walsh being announced the 2018/19 winner of the prestigious GSDC medal which is awarded bi-annually since 2002.

Alliance with ReganWA

Gillamii Centre approached RegenWA at the end of 2018 to form a working alliance. RegenWA supports groups and individuals towards adopting regenerative farming practices by working with existing networks.


Snails, Slugs and Slaters

Crop damage caused by snails, slugs and slaters, including at seeding time, has increased in the past 10-15 years in Western Australian grain growing regions since the adoption of no tillage farming practices.


Gillamii Centre - Equipment for hire


$256K Grant Awarded to Gillamii Centre

Gillamii grower group of Cranbrook has been awarded a grant with the focus of supporting farmers in regeneration of saline and marginal areas of land across the southern WA region.


Green Shirts from the Farm to the City

Karina Bateman represented the Gillamii Centre with the Green Shirts movement in the city centre during January. The rally took place in the Hay street mall, to attempt to dispel myths and misconceptions of farming in WA.
